Who Should pay for bridal beauty services?
I hear this question come up a lot in my beauty clients, and I can say there is no one right way to approach the answer to this question. For example, I have delivered services in which the Bride pays for all hair and beauty services for herself, MOB, MOG, and Bridesmaids.
I’ve also seen everyone pay for their own beauty services. In some cases, the mother of the Bride has paid for the Bride’s makeup and hair. So what should YOU do?
Here’s some key points to consider when deciding who’s paying for beauty services on the day of your wedding…
If you are the Bride, are you asking that your bridal party get professional hair and makeup services done? If this is something that you are requiring as being part of your wedding, think of this as a gift to your tribe and pay for their services!
If you are the Bride, and your tribe is requesting professional hair and makeup services, then the rule of thumb here would be that the bridal party pay for their own beauty services.
If you are the mother of the bride, or groom and you want to be more involved in the beautifying process, pay for your daughter’s or daughter-in'-law’s makeup. She will be grateful and it makes a great little wedding gift on the day of.
