Top 5 Trending Makeup Looks: 2023

Just as shoes, haircuts, and outfits come in and out of fashion, so too does make-up.

Here at Sweet Face, we like to be on top of trends, not only to provide the most topical styles, but the most popular styles as well. The last thing we want is to not know a look.

That’s why we’ve put together a top 5 list of trending makeup looks. Based off of both what is most popular and what we deem the best.

Without further adieu, here’s the list:

5.) Black & White with a Bold Lip.

(Sweet Face Boudoir Client; Makeup by Molly)

Eyeshadow features a dramatic black & white shadow using gray to blend the shadow seamlessly. An iconic and bold raspberry lip is added to finish the look. Foundation is full coverage, with a second skin sheen and a subtle color on the lip so as to not take away from the drama of the eyes and lip. This is a look that is 50 Shades of Grey Worthy and where I pulled a lot of its inspiration when designing the look for this client.

4.) Natural & Glowy.

(Sweet Face Bridal Trial Client; Makeup by Sara)

Featuring warm browns and a pop of pink and a silver to champagne shadow shimmer. Natural, eye lifting lashes & a sheer and glowy foundation finish. Soft pink in both the lips and cheek to create a veil-like finish.

3.) Soft & Peachy Makeup.

(Sweet Face Maternity Client; Makeup by Molly)

This look features matte eyeshadow, using peachy colors to compliment client eye color and skin tone. A natural, but sculpted brow, soft and naturally contouring featuring a soft pink veil on the cheek. The lip is a subtle nude pink gloss.

2.) Bronze Luxe Makeup.

(Sweet Face Bridal Client; Makeup by Molly)

This look features neutral to warm browns with a gold shimmer on the lid giving the look that bronzed and buff feel. Contour is sharp with the emphasis on the cheeks and a rosy pink cheek & lip color.

1.) Glossier/ Clean Makeup.

(Sweet Face Bridal Client; Makeup by Molly)

This is a look focusing on the soft summer glow of the skin with very little eyeshadow, focusing on a soft contour of the eyes. Emphasis on the lash line with fluffy &  natural brows and a soft pink gloss lip. Foundation is a sheer finish with a super soft and subtle contour.
