The virgin voyage of Bridal Beauty

The very first wedding I booked, oddly enough was a wedding for many months later. However, the first wedding I actually provided bridal beauty for became a core memory for me as a traveling makeup artist.

I remember being so anxious for this wedding, but the bride was phenomenal. She was running late, so I had an opportunity to get my jitters out before getting to work on the gold glam she desired.

Anyway, fast forward several hours, and now they ask me to do the honors of putting on the mangalsutra, as well as put on her other ceremonial jewlery. It’s finally time for her to make an appearance and all her family members await the bride’s arrival at the bottom of the elegant stairway.

As she floats down the stairs I get to see and hear first hand the ooh’s and ahh’s from everyone as they see the bride for the very first time. It was such an incredible experience to witness the true “first look.” It was in this moment I knew I had found my purpose and passion in life.
