What Exactly are you Paying for When you Pay a Professional Bridal MUA?

Sweet Face provides a service, a very customizable and varied service. Because of this, our prices from appointment to appointment can differ. To help you with an idea of what to expect, we thought it would be helpful to list out some things that we take into account when pricing out a specific appointment.

Location:

We are based out of Vermont, which is an extremely popular wedding state. This means that makeup artists and other wedding vendors are in higher demand than other less popular locations.

Demand:

Due to the popularity and quality of our services, our team is booking out 1-2 years in advance with calendars filling up fast.

Experience:

Our beauty team here at Sweet Face not only has the skills and ability to provide our professional services, but the experience to back it up. Our team has 40+ weddings under their belts, and every artist has 5+ years of experience in the makeup industry.

High-End Luxury Cosmetics:

Cosmetics used by our beauty professionals such as MAC, Makeup Forever, Fenty, Dior Beauty, Armani Beauty, KVD Beauty, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Danessa Myricks can be costly. Quality comes at a price that we here at Sweet Face believe is absolutely worth it.

Continued Education:

To ensure the consistent improvement of services each of our artists is required to extend their knowledge in the beauty field. This is done by attending various certification courses and conventions for specialties and sanitation. These continued efforts have a cost associated with them that we must account for.

Preparation:

The bridal trial appointment is included in our pricing for the bride as there is more planning required on the bride’s end of things. Responsibilities regarding decisions such as dress style, color, color palette, hair style can completely change what your appointment may look like. For instance, Certain types of look can take longer to design than your average night out glam.

Travel:

Having only one location based in central VT, we are required to travel to specific wedding locations. In our travel fee, we consider both the time and gas it takes to provide mobile services. Additionally, the effort it takes to load and unload all of our necessary equipment for services (mobile kit, mobile salon chair, prepping space for set up, etc....) is also considered.

Set-Up and Take Down:

It typically takes our team 30 minutes for set up and then 60-90 minutes to clean up, sanitize the kit, clean the brushes, and clean up venue space after services are rendered.

Time:

As with all things, the Beauty process takes time, many factors – including some listed above – go into this time. This means that times can vary, along with price.

Sweet Face prides itself on providing excellent services. Part of that requires a level of professionalism in our timing and details. In every instance our priority is the bride, and in part of making it the best experience for them, we feel it is not only helpful, but necessary to share any and all details that may be considered important.
