5 Things your mua wants you to know…

Here’s 5 things we want our clients to know before their appointment to ensure a smooth client experience…

1. Don’t wear makeup to the appointment!

Wearing makeup to your beauty session is a huge no-no. It requires extra time and resources to remove, just to start the appointment. Instead show up to your appointment with a fresh and clean face, following your personal skin care routine saving both yourself and your artist time & $$$.

2. Come with inspo/ pictures.

“Neutral Glam.” “Natural Glam.” “Soft Makeup.” “Classic Bridal.” “Glowy.” These are a lot of the terms we hear from our clients, while we have somewhat of an idea of what it means, it usually differs from client to client. In order to get the best idea of what our clients want, a picture is the most helpful, when realistic. With that being said, come to your appointment equipped with a Pinterest board, or saved Instagram post that best represent the look you envision!

3. Communicate!!!!

Having your makeup done by a professional should be a fun & stress free experience. Client feedback is encouraged with our team! We want to hear from our clients, the good but also the things that might need adjusting. Come ready to openly communicate and check in with your MUA during and after your appointment, we are here to make you feel like a million bucks.

4. Wear something comfortable/ easy to slip off.

A luxury beauty appointment is anywhere from 1-2 hours in length, so we ALWAYS encourage our clients to come to their appointment in comfortable clothing to avoid any discomfort. We suggest a cotton jump suit, a button up shirt- any light, easy to slide off clothing for comfortability & it helps preserve the makeup.

5. No spray tans/ cosmetic treatments.

No facial treatments within a week, as often suggested by aesthetician, but the skin is ultra sensitive. We want to avoid any imbalance of the skin with the cosmetics. As for tanning, at least wait a few days as the tan will ultimately need time to develop to ensure the most accurate color matching.

Hope you found these tips helpful!
